Leading Real Estate Companies of the World Announce HGTV Ultimate House Hunt Winners
Recently, leading Real Estate Companies of the World and Luxury Portfolio International have announced the winners of the 2018 HGTV Ultimate House Hunt. HGTV teamed exclusively with LeadingRE and Luxury Portfolio for the month-long promotion on HGTV.com, which concluded July 17. The promotion identified extraordinary homes for sale around the world in nine different categories and gave consumers the opportunity to vote for their favorites. With more than 880,000 votes cast and 84 million page views, the Ultimate House Hunt is one of HGTV.com’s most popular online contests.
All 88 finalists from 13 countries were homes represented by LeadingRE and Luxury Portfolio members. Based on the total number of votes received, the Overall Winner, as well as the favorite for Global Homes, was a sprawling Italian villa near Sardinia, Italy, represented by Immobilsarda.
The winners in the other categories are: Cora Bett Thomas Realty & Associates for “Homes With a History;” First Team Estates for “Love It or List It;” GARDNER, REALTORS® for “Urban Digs;” Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers for “Waterfront Homes;” Sibarth Real Estate for “Modern Masterpieces;” Silver Creek Real Estate Group for “Extreme Homes;” Willis Allen Real Estate for “Amazing Kitchens;” and Windermere Real Estate for “Curb Appeal.”
It’s always a pleasure to work with HGTV.com to curate some of our members’ most extraordinary homes and see which properties are most popular with voters,” says Paul Boomsma, president/CEO of LeadingRE. “This year’s contest featured homes from 13 different countries, with the Global Homes winner receiving the highest number of overall votes, reflecting the broad reach of your network and the universal appeal of beautiful homes.”
“I was ecstatic simply to have two of my listings selected to be included in this exclusive HGTV Ultimate House Hunt competition, but to be declared a winner is extremely rewarding,” said Elizabeth McNulty, of GARDNER REALTORS®, who represented one of the properties that won, in a statement. “I think it speaks to the caliber of homes available in the New Orleans area.”
